The band Magnus Thorsen was formed in late 2005 by guitarist/vocalist Magnus Thorsen. Enlisting the aid of Osmose recording artist Russ Givens (Proscriptor McGovern of Absu), bassist Milos Obilic, guitarist Steven Rosas and ex-Axe keyboardist Edgar Riley, Jr., nine songs of epic heavy metal were recorded. Of those, five can be found on the recently released Valhalla Rising EP.

2008 ushers the release of Origin of Storms, the band's latest foray into the realms of imagination and incredible history, and breaks the silence with resounding thunder and guitar solos. Songs inspired by Arthurian legend, viking warlords and a mighty eastern empire give rise to what the band believes to be it's best performance yet.
